Another event for a GREAT Cause!

Information [via Diva Office / Caltweet Invitation]

On December 1st, come celebrate Pearl’s One Year Anniversary with co-owners Bradley and Mikel! The party will begin at 6 p.m. and Pearl will be offering half off signature cocktails, glass wine pours, small plates, and draft beer to honor the festive occasion. To spread the holiday cheer and partake in the holiday giving spirit, Pearl is partnering up with Eastside Domestic Violence Program (EDVP). Contribute to a great cause by bringing in toys for the many children in EDVP’s homeless shelters and programs. Also, chat it up with Pam and Rochelle from Chat with Women who will be at the event to lend their support to Pearl and Eastside Domestic Violence Program.

Come raise your glass to a great cause!

These are all great events to attend and enjoy it will it lasts. Tis the season of giving back to the community. See you lovely Fabulous Fashionistas & Socialistas there! I will be there for sure at the EDVP Event at Pearl Bellevue.

It’s a bridegroom deconstruction by Alexander McQueen.

Yesterday in my Sociology 101 class, we did a class discussion on Gender, Sexuality, and Advertisements. And of course, if you remember Dolce & Gabbana was in the hot seat in 2007 for the ad which sources claim it depicts a “rape scene” or “rape”.

In my HONEST opinion, I do NOT see this advertisement depicting “rape” as everyone says.

Maybe I am blind but it doesn’t NOT depict RAPE!
Truthfully, look at the picture and tell me [in the comment box] everything you see.

– the two models in the background; [the one fixing his collar and the guy wearing a white / black wifebeater], IS indirectly looking away from the action… so technically, they are NOT looking directly at the main two models where sources are claiming a “rape scene”…
– The male holding the wrists of the female…. I don’t see this “rape” concept…. Both her legs are leaning against the side of the guys hips. She is really displaying the shoes.

Truthfully, I am a FAN of Dolce & Gabbana and 80% of my wardrobe closet is Dolce & Gabbana. I adore their clothes and love their craftmanship. I don’t see anything wrong with this picture. And trust me, I’ve seen a lot of advertisements.

Honestly, I need your opinions.

Sex in Ads

“Jimmy Choo has an extraordinary story for sure but my past experiences, be it at Yves St Laurent, Marc Jacobs or Gucci have taught me that partnership between the creative head and business head of a company is critical , it decides the course of a brand. When I met Tamara , I knew we shared a purpose and¬†mission.” (Source: Economic Times)

With the image of clear blue water behind them, Natasha Poly and Snejana Onopka star in the most recent Gucci Cruise campaign. Photographed by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, the duo alongside male model Ryan Kennedy, are the perfect picture of relaxation as they luxuriate poolside with Gucci bags and shades.

Images of the 2010 Chanel Resort campaign. Karl Lagerfeld captured Karen Elson and Baptiste Giabiconi in a series of romantic photographs.

Technically, I was going to say, “last night” but truthfully, it was this early morning around 3:24am… Where I found myself browsing Neiman Marcus online catalog looking at Gucci for Men & Women. LOL. Like I said before I just have the balls to wear woman/man’s clothing. Everything is unisex in my eyes. LOL! These are the two I fell in love with from Gucci Fall Winter Runway… I just thought about, “go bold or go home!”
